Why Cloth?
1.
Environment
Each child requires an average of 6,000-8,000 diaper changes. Most disposable
diapers are transported to landfills where they take hundreds of years to breakdown.
Using cloth diapers makes a significant positive impact by lessening the carbon
footprint of diapering and by diverting waste from landfills. Choosing diapers
made with fabrics grown without chemicals, such as bamboo and organic cotton,
further benefits the environment that we will leave to our children. Other choices
that enhance the positive environmental impact of cloth diapering include air
drying diapers whenever possible, using cloth wipes and reusing diapers on your
next child (or selling them or giving them to another family).
2. Health
Choose to wrap your baby in natural fabrics instead of the super absorbent polymers
found in most disposable diapers. Babies in cloth diapers tend to be changed
more often, which is healthier, better for baby’s skin and reduces diaper
rash.
3. Comfort
Cloth diapers are soft and comfortable, and natural fabrics are breathable.
Treat your child to the feeling of a clean, soft, cloth diaper.
4. It’s easy
Grasshopper Diapers are trim, soft, effective and easy to use – no droopy,
pinned diapers or stiff plastic pants of the past. All-in-one diapers have a
built-in waterproof cover – no separate cover and no extra step. Washing
diapers at home is simple and requires only a few loads of laundry each week.
Best of all, it
feels great as a parent to be making a positive choice for your child's well
being now and in the future.
